Tripla in Pasila, Helsinki, is a vast three-block complex comprising a shopping center, Pasila railway station, residences, a hotel, and offices. Lighting concepts have been designed for the entire extensive area, highlighting masses as well as details. Particularly prominent in the overall view are the canopies and facade of the shopping center’s main entrance.

The unique canopies, serving as a hallmark of the shopping center’s main entrance, stand out prominently in front of the building as light is directed to their underside. This simultaneously illuminates the pedestrian pathway.

The glass facade appears as a shimmering mass. Various lighting effects can be created in the false windows by varying the illuminated windows – the material is transparent when unlit and light-conducting and diffusing when lit.
